This is a silent retreat, to allow our minds to settle over the course of the day. It's an opportunity to set aside our everyday distractions, settle into a retreat container, and explore our meditation practice at a deeper level.
It is suitable for all levels of practitioners of any spiritual tradition, including secular and non-Buddhist. Participants should have some experience with meditation, and may practice however they wish within the structure of the day's schedule. For those who have not experienced a group retreat or day-long sit, this will be a gentle yet potent introduction.
We recommend that you bring your personal meditation setup, to maximize the possibility of physical comfort throughout the day. We also provide cushions, mats, chairs and blankets to use.
Bring a sack lunch and a water bottle – and we suggest a light lunch, to avoid feeling groggy in the afternoon. There is a refrigerator, but no microwave.

We look forward to a day of retreat with you!
Participants had this to say about previous ODC retreats:
Thank you so much for your skill in guiding this experience today. Words cannot express the impact it made and the gratitude I felt as I left there.
-JP
I just wanted to express my gratitude to you again for the retreat. The more I reflect on it, the more I am struck by the day’s meaningfulness. The way you held the space for us was very moving.
